#28: Pesto Pasta
Look to the person on your left.
Now look to the person on your right.
One of these people has grown too much basil this summer and needs your help eating it all up.
True fact: people seem to grow basil in 2 increments – miniscule potted plant amounts or slowly-taking-over-the-entire-garden amounts. Hopefully you know plenty of people in the latter camp. And what better way to use up a boatload of basil then by making amazing pesto, and then making amazing pesto pasta? There is no better way. End of discussion.
But wait – did you think I’d forgotten about you, haters of green things/herbs/basil specifically? Never! For you I made my most favourite pesto variation to date, which replaces the traditional ingredients with deeply roasted red peppers, pumpkin seeds, feta, parsley, and a hit of chile. It’s wacky and delicious.
