#14: Snickerdoodles
Have you also always thought that a cookie with a name as unique and whimsical as ‘snickerdoodle’ must somehow contain an ingredient list that mirrors the wackiness of its moniker? This would be a perfectly reasonable line of thinking; after all, the word ‘doodle’ doesn’t exactly demand to be taken seriously. Perhaps you will be disappointed to discover that the cookies referred to as ‘snickerdoodles’ are - at first glance - very plain, with ingredients that reflect none of the quirky eccentricity implied by their ostentatious name. And while snickerdoodles are certainly not among the most original creations in the culinary world, these li’l cinnamon-sugared darlings will leave you wanting nothing more than another mouthful of their soft, buttery sweetness.
